Family Night
Last night at family night Juliana insisted that she wanted to do the lesson. Sometimes if we have planned in advance we help her or Malia to do the lesson, but last night she wanted to do it completely by herself. Josh and I weren't sure, but we decided we would let her try. She got one of our church books and asked to use my whiteboard. She told us she was ready, so after the song and prayer and scripture. She got all of her things and set up in front of us. She turned to a page in her book and it was on tithing. She then went on to tell us that we should pay tithing to help others in church. She drew her piggy bank and the drew ten coins. She had Malia color one coin and them she drew an arrow to a tithing envelop that she had drawn. Josh and I kept looking at each other with wonderment in out eyes. She then drew the bishop and a church building. She explained it all. We give our tithing to the bishop and then the money is used to build temples and churches and to help people. She did a great job. We had talked about this in the past, but she must have learned it in her class at church. We were so excited for her. Maybe she can teach the lesson more often! :
