Easter Fun

We had a fun Easter this year. It was kind of funny, but the only day it has rained in the last couple of weeks was on the day of the church Easter egg hunt. So we had a fun time hunting for eggs in the primary room. The girls still thought it was fun and Grant even got in on the action. Malia was very excited because she got one of the "golden tickets" in one of her eggs. She won a special prize. She noticed that Juliana was disappointed that she didn't have one so she told her they could share the prize bunny. I love it when they do things like that without any prompting.
The best part of the Saturday before Easter was going to see Josh do his first baptism. We were a little late, but we were able to see how excited Jessica was. She goes to Josh's school and asked him to baptise her. He was very honored and he did a great job. I loved that she was baptised so close to Easter. I think that it helped us remember that the true meaning of Easter is all about our Savior. He has done so much for us. I am thankful that He lives again and that we can too.

Later that day we dyed Easter eggs. We tried doing it with Grant, but that wasn't working out so well, so he went down for his nap. The girls enjoyed picking the colors and drawing on their eggs with crayons. We love to dye them, but now we have 18 hard boiled eggs in the fridge. We need to get creative and eat them soon, or our fridge is going to get really stinky!

Here we are Sunday morning all in our Sunday best. The girls did get Easter dresses. We thought about skipping them this year, but I found these dresses for only nine dollars each and couldn't pass that up.

After church we headed over to my Mom and Dad's for Easter dinner. It was nice to get together and visit. My Mom and sister Susie put on a little Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was low key and perfect.
