We had a fun fourth of July this year. Malia said, "It was the best day ever!" Malia's birthday is on the sixth of July so we had a little family party at my Mom's to celebrate her big day. She was giddy with
excitement and loved that we opened presents and saw fireworks all in the same day.
She got some fun games, clothes and her princess crown and
earrings from Grandma, Aunt Susie and Papa. She also got a baby unicorn and another Ken doll, from Mom and Dad. We had to get an extra Ken to avoid all the fights about what Barbie was married. We had a yummy
ice cream cake and lots of good summer cooking.
After spending the rest of the day hanging out and playing hide and seek. We all headed over to a park by my parents that was putting on a show. It was really well done and, I loved watching the girls. Malia kept sighing with
happiness and thought it was
soooo beautiful. Juliana told me that she couldn't even look away it was so pretty.
It was pretty hot and we had the occasional
attack of fire ants, but it was well worth it. I didn't get any good pictures of my Mom and Dad, partly because my Dad hates pictures, but I am thankful we live close and can celebrate good times with them.
